Binder

I worked on adding pages to my binder to keep record of my progress this semester. I went through my previous material in the binder to hopefully rediscover some inspiration for my project. Specifically, I revisited my sections for the site visit photographs and precedents.

Photographs

I organized my photographs into subcategories - landscape & hardscape, facades, and textures. I found that all of my photographs from the site visit fit into these categories. I thought that was interesting and could help me decide what to focus on in my design. Since I am using precast concrete for the wall systems, I can definitely work with developing the textures along with my facades. The landscape and hardscapes will also lend to creating interesting textures to enrich my project.

Precedents

In a previous blog post I went over the precedents I was looking at from which to design. I feel that the Center of Arts of Verin is the precedent closest to the look I am trying to develop due to it's facade texture and window styles.
